Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception foi o que teve mais nomeações para prêmios, com 12. Portal 2 é o segundo, com dez, seguido de L.A. Noire (9) e Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3 e The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, todos com seis.
No ano de 2011, Red Dead Redemption foi o jogo com mais prêmios e Mass Effect 2 o vencedor da categoria Game do Ano.
A premiação será realizada no dia 9 de fevereiro de 2012, no Red Rock Resort, em Las Vegas.
